One of the requirements for getting volume postage discounts from Canada Post is to have your mailing list certified by address quality software that is recognized by Canada Post under their Software Evaluation and Recognition Program (SERP). You need to provide Canada Post with a Statement of Accuracy Report (SOA) that shows your mailing list’s level of accuracy. Only SERP-recognized software, like nCode, can produce the SOA report.
To get an SOA report for you mailing list, you need to use a batch tool, like nCode Batch Processor or the batch processing feature of the nCode Workbench desktop software. Canada Post only allows SOA reports to be generated in batch mode.
If you are using the nCode Batch command line utility – no matter what platform you are running on – then the SOA report is generated automatically at the end of your batch correction job. The SOA report generated by the command line nCode Batch utility is in text file format.
If you are using the nCode Workbench desktop software for Windows, then you need to select the Create SOA special handling rule checkbox on the Batch Script Properties window. This will cause your SOA to be generated at the end of your batch file correction job. The SOA created by the nCode Workbench is in PDF file format.
