Program updates for nCode are made when Canada Post mandates changes and when we build new functionality to meet our customers’ needs. We strive to maintain backward compatibility with older releases in order to avoid any impacts to your installed integration source code. If possible, we also try to avoid impacts to your deployment and operational support processes.
New releases are made periodically. Historically, updates have occurred anywhere from 12 to 18 months apart. Canada Post has lately signalled that they intend to return to annual SERP cycles. If this happens, then new nCode API libraries will have to be deployed annually in order to maintain SERP recognition.
