Nova does not intend to collect personal information from users of this Site. Our customers are corporations and not individuals. Nevertheless, we recognize that in some situations, personal information may be provided to us. This Policy explains how we collect, use and disclose the personal information you may provide while using this Site. We may from time to time ask for information about you. We may need information about you and your business, such as your complete company name, postal address, city and province, corporate or individual contact and title, phone number and e-mail address.
Your personal information is intended to be used only by authorized personnel of Nova to respond to order requests, verify name and address, provide account information, quotes and other sales related information, to improve our content and product offerings and to generally support your use of the Site. Personal information we collect on novamg.com may be used to facilitate the processing of your inquiries and for the fulfillment of orders to evaluate or purchase nCode from us.
We may use your e-mail address to send you information about how to obtain files you request from our website as well as information about new product offerings, discounts and other matters we believe will interest you and communications relative to the use of the Site. At any time you may ask us to stop sending you email and other information by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, each unsolicited email we send to you will tell you how to decline further unsolicited email. From time to time we may also send to you email containing important information regarding the Site, which you may not opt out of receiving.
In general, we use information in the file we maintain about you and your business to evaluate current and past activities on the Site, to resolve disputes and troubleshoot problems. If you send us correspondence, such as emails or letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities, we may collect such information into a file specific to you.
After a reasonable period of time consistent with our records retention and destruction policies, we will destroy any of your personal information that is no longer needed to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected.
Upon request, we will provide you with the means to insure that your personal information is correct and current. Subject to certain exceptions prescribed by law, you will be given reasonable access to your personal information, and will be entitled to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information and to have it amended as appropriate.
We may use non-personal information to create aggregate tracking information reports regarding Site user demographics and Site traffic patterns and then provide those reports to advertisers and others. Tracking information in the reports is not designed to be connected to the identities or other personal information of individual users. Use of our "Try It Now" feature requires that we track your IP address in order to ensure that anti-automation challenges are issued periodically. Your IP address is also tracked when using customer-specific features that require you to log into the website, such as downloading files. This information cannot be used by itself to identify you personally.
We reserve the right to amend this Policy from time to time. Any amendments we make to this Policy will apply to your personal information from the time we post the amendment on this Site. It is your responsibility to regularly check the Site for amendments to this Policy. You agree to be bound by amendments when posted on this Site.
Personal information about our customers is an important part of Nova's business, and Nova is not in the business of selling that personal information to others. We share customer information only with the parties described below:
(i) Disclosure to Suppliers. We may use third party Suppliers and Service Providers to facilitate our provision of products or services to you. For example, we may outsource the operations of one or more aspects of our Site to a Supplier or Service Provider who performs services according to our requirements. In some instances, the Service Provider may collect information directly from you (such as the situation where we ask a Service Provider to conduct a survey for us). In order to process transactions, we must disclose some of your personal information to certain Service Providers. If we do so, we will endeavour to restrict by contract how these Suppliers and Service Providers may access, use and disclose your information. Since we want to service your business needs, we encourage our associates in business to follow privacy practices consistent with the practices we describe in this Policy.
(ii) Disclosure to business partners. We may provide your personal information to certain companies with which we have developed a business relationship and which we believe can be of service to you. Before personal information is disclosed, the recipient organization will agree with us to protect the privacy of your personal information in a manner that is consistent with this Policy. Recipient organizations may use your personal information to provide you with email or other information about their products and services and other matters. If at any time you do not wish us to make any further disclosure of your personal information to such organizations, please notify us at email@example.com.
(iii) Disclosure in Business Transfers. We may sell or transfer some or all of the Nova business. As part of that sale or transfer, we may disclose your personal information to the acquiring organization or investor, but will require the acquiring organization or investor to agree to protect the privacy of your personal information in a manner that is consistent with this Policy.
(iv) Law Enforcement & Legal Disclosure. We may disclose your personal information to a government institution that has asserted its lawful authority to obtain the information or where we have reasonable grounds to believe the information could be useful in the investigation of unlawful activity or to comply with legislation or to comply with a subpoena or warrant or an order made by a court, person or body with jurisdiction to compel the production of information, or to comply with court rules regarding the production of records and information. We may disclose your personal information to our legal counsel, auditors, and consultants to permit them to perform professional services for us.
