Compact and efficient database and engine ensures highest throughput of any such engine

• At the heart of the system is the nCode address database. The 180MB data file as delivered by Canada Post is compressed and indexed by Nova into a proprietary database format that uses only 10MB of disk space. nCode can operate against this hard drive based database or you can choose to have nCode preload the entire database into high speed RAM memory, thus eliminating file I/O (input/output) and boosting performance significantly. This ensures fastest response times and maximum throughput of high volumes of transactions.
  
  
• Furthermore, because the nCode database uses a proprietary format, added investment in third party database management system software is not required.
  
  
  

Batch processing capability

The batch processing utility is very fast. Our customers report that they have been able to process more than four million addresses per hour running nCode on a 3GHz Pentium 4 workstation under Microsoft Windows/XP using the nCode Batch Processing Utility.

The nCode Batch Processing Utility will also produce summary statistics regarding your address data, including the Statement of Address Accuracy Report that is required by Canada Post in order to obtain postage discounts for large-volume mailings.
